Grace Nyati – Butler Extraordinaire
Born on the outskirts of a town called Tulamahashe, near Bushbuck Ridge, in the village of Thorndey, Grace started working for Thornybush Lodge straight out of school. Fortunately for us, she has been here ever since.
Her years of experience have given her the benefit of being able to anticipate every guest's need and exceed their expectations without being asked. She has beaten a well-worn path along the extra mile and is well-loved by all who meet her and are privileged enough to be party to her excellent service and dedication.
Grace is considered a natural in her field, with a caring, fun loving personality that is perfect for her line of work. As a butler, she is responsible for providing our guests with all those little extras that complete their perfect safari picture, making their stay effortless and unforgettable. Whenever you need something, she always seems to be there – one step ahead of your request.
Grace is a great listener and loves to learn all about the far off places, cultures, and languages from our guests. As a result, she has become an authority in dealing efficiently and courteously with anyone that she meets.
Her colleagues see Grace as a welcome set of extra hands in their busy day and find her an invaluable member of the team. She is adept at communicating with her managers and staff to keep them informed about how to keep the wheels running smoothly around camp.
Dedicated beyond expectation
As one of our most popular camps, Thornybush Lodge's 18 luxury suites are fully booked most of the time, meaning an all-hands on deck approach is pretty constant around here. Thanks to the dedication and attention to detail of staff members like Grace, we are able to keep delivering exceptional experiences every day of the year.
Being a butler at Thornybush Lodge is a Jack-of-all-trades position and Grace may find herself polishing silver behind the scenes one minute, and then pouring wine for guests the next. No doubt, it is these varied challenges of her job and her love of people that have kept her here for so long.
She is a proud single mother, a grandmother of three and an invaluable member of our team.
